I am one among the Human
Afraid of losing my life to you,
Masked face
Lighting candles
Burning stomach in starvation
Germs spreading fast and faster
You are enemy of the Humankind
Traveling from cough to cough
You landed all over the globe
Closing dooring
Shuttered factories
Crippled Cities
Cry for food, Cry for help
Such is the Calamity
No one is in the roads,
Everything that resembles you
Keeping distance with ourselves,
Even a cough scares us so much

Poor get disappointment as gift every time
Three meals per day becomes their struggle
Forgetting the working class,
Praises were showered with claps and laughter
Isolation is the need of the hour,
We will survive, if we follow that
But rumours spreading faster than the virus
Will destroy us first
Whatever happens, blame it on religion
is the cunningness of a few
Yet losing life due to hunger
will be our reality soon
This is nothing new
Countless lives being lost,
For the country that forgot human dignity,
Should be sprayed medicine in its heart.
Walking down for her village,
The child dies with full faith in the motherland.
Yet, the thousand year old barbaric brain
Heads out to ring bells and make noise
This is nature’s lesson
Our country should realize this
Everything can change in a second
Our lives may get upside down.
World is small
Lives are big.
Invisible germs,
That dismantles our arrogance
How to kill the thriving virus
Of Caste and Religion?
Going down the gutters,
risking their lives,
forgetting their family
Working for the country,
Giving medicines,
Recovering lives of sick
Say thanks to all these people
Crores of us stay in the streets,
While few rich in their balcony glitter,
The city may shut down
But the hunger will not
Not much distance between tomorrow and death
In the times of imminent danger,
No need for stupid rituals.
Trusting that State will not wash off its responsibility,
We are washing our hands inside our home
Even we are not afraid of this disease,
But what about these dramas?
