1. Role: Journalist and Media Coordinator

Eligibility

• Post-graduate or Graduation with minimum two years of experience.
• Knowledge of basic Hindi and English is required.
• Commitment for minimum four months.

( ‘Impure’ Hindi and English speaking people will be preferred.)

Responsibilities

• • To edit and publish hindi and english fortnightly newspaper (The Sabha).
  • Coordinate with Interns from different university.
  • Coordinate with Student’s Unions, Worker’s Union, Farmer’s Union and other collectives, to document about their issues.
  • Organize media workshops in universities and colleges.
  • Attend public events, covering socio-political issues and document them through articles, photos and videos.
  • Reach out to non-government organization, civil society organizations, colleges to get contents and subscriptions.
  • Help in distribution of newspaper in colleges and on the streets.
  • Travel whenever required across India.

Location : Mumbai with frequent Travel across India.

Remuneration:  Rs 15,000- 25000 per month

Break-up

1. Basic : Rs 6000
2. Travel Allowance : Rs 3500
3. *Variable Pay: Rs 7500
4. **Entertainment Allowance: Rs 1000
5. ***Anti-Patriarchy Allowance [APA]: Rs 4000 (for Females and Transgenders)
6. ****Love Allowance [LA] : Rs 7500
7. Accommodation will be provided on sharing basis if required.

2. Part-time Media Coordinator

Eligibility

• Post-graduate or Graduation with minimum two years of experience.
• Knowledge of basic Hindi and English is required.
• Commitment for minimum One month.

( ‘Impure’ Hindi and English speaking people will be preferred.)

• • Write one article a week on agreed themes.
  • Coordinate with Student’s Unions, Worker’s Union, Farmer’s Union and other collectives, to document about their issues.
  • Attend public events, covering socio-political issues and document them through articles, photos and videos.
  • Reach out to non-government organization, civil society organizations, colleges to get contents and subscriptions.
  • Help in distribution of newspaper in colleges and on the streets.

Location : Mumbai with frequent Travel across India.

Remuneration [ Rs 5000 – Rs 15000]

• Basic: Rs 2000
• On articles: Rs 4000: Per article [Rs 750-1000]
• *Variable Pay- Rs 7000: Depends on sales and subscription
• Travel Allowance- Rs 2000

*Variable pay, Performance will be determined in every three months by 1. Number of individual/organisation/unions you engage with 2. Activity in Social Media, 3. Interviews/Public event documentation, 4. Combination of Office and Field work as required,  5. Ability to work independently while engaging with all the stakeholders involved. 6. Number of subscriptions done.

** Entertainment allowance will be reimbursed on going for movies/theatre or protest or election rally.

**** Couples can apply for the position. Instead of APA, they will get LA.
